2011 Transplant Center Annual Reunion

More than 600 Florida Hospital transplant patients, organ donors, families, and physicians gathered this April at the Orlando Cultural Park for the annual family-fun transplant reunion event. The reunion atmosphere is filled with gratitude and joy as the event is a chance for transplant patients, living organ donors and their families to celebrate life and share their stories of transplantation.  The Florida Hospital Transplant Center hosts the event each year. Brittany Shelley became a living organ donor after giving the gift of life to her mother when she needed a kidney. "This transplant has given both of us so much. I can certainly speak for myself, as it has given me my best friend back," said Shelley. "It is a blessing to have the opportunity for patients, donors and families to see the success of transplants made possible by organ donation."
